Last Saturday I participated in a shoe battle. I went against Eric Deluxe from Power106. It’s a tournament style battle to go to the next round which will lead to a head to head w/ the East Coast. Vote for mine at nikesportswear.com. The theme was college basketball teams on a Dunk. My shoe looks like a watermelon which is inspired by Tulane University, a tribute to the 1981 gambling scandal. The winners of this will advance to the next round on Saturday. Big up to Tim Bergevin for the Blazers and Krunks!

Today marks the launch of the NIKEiD Royale tournament, where 32 will compete but 1 will be crowned champion. Round 1 will take place today at The Montalbán located at 1615 Vine St. Hollywood CA 90028. Contestants will face-off and both designs will be posted on Nike’s website at 8pm PST for the public to vote. The winners will come back next week to face-off against other finalist. See flyer for this rounds competitors and competition times.
I’m a big Depeche Mode fan. I geeked out when Andy Supreme showed me this new video by them. After all these years, they keep coming out with the goodness.

I got some free shit at the Oscar Awards gifting Suite. This is one of those things here companies get together before an award show and give celebrities free swag. Some of it cooler than others. Let’s take a walk, shall we?

Last night I was invited as a VIP guest to the Street Fighter IV party as a VIP guest. I was supposed to announce on stage that Music For Relief is going to be auctioning off an arcade cabinet on ebay with the proceeds going to help the brushfire victims in Australia. Let me tell you, it was the worst party that I’ve ever been to in my life. It was extremely disorganized and boring. I barely got in because they wanted to have a mob at the entrance. The organizers were yelling in my ear to back up. After 30 minutes of waiting, we managed to get in. Only to see a place that was half full. So, we go to the VIP area only to get denied again, despite our fancy wristbands. And… never made it to the stage to announce the auction.
SURU (which means "hand printed" or print by hand" in Japaneses) is a concept retail store and brand. The vision is simple: combine the world of art and fasion into a retail store that caters to today's ever growing demand for high end street wear and fasion forward consumers.
