Dishonest Heart

Audrey Kawasaki is a Los Angeles based painter. She works directly on wood panels, using the natural grains as a base for her images. The figures she creates are dreamy and seductive women, often containing an air of melancholy, and exist in their own sensually esoteric realm. Her precise yet fluid technical style is influenced by both Manga comics and Art Nouveau. Audrey has shown in the U.S., Italy, and Tokyo, and plan to show in Australia next year. Her next show will be in New York at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in December.

  1. I did, I dunno 20 some sketches earlier for this…bleh…for my album cover. (I’m getting angry at myself for taking so long to get my point out) Anywhoo. …It consisted of a torso and a heart. Eh, it’s different..But I’m a nut, so now I have to change it.
