Art shows have been going on one after the other here in the great land of Los Angeles and Glorious Excess is one of the more anticipated shows. The new series of paintings by Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda is debuting for the first time on Saturday, July 12th and ending August 3rd. The art show includes large scale painting and digital works and will be showing at two different times and in two different installments, beginning with Born. The art show will be held at the Japanese American National Museum. In conjunction with Mike’s art, the release of his Remix Series kicks from DC will be available in August. Reworked materials, designs and intricate detailing is consumed by these shoes and are definitely an exclusive release with only 1000 pairs spread among boutiques around the country. All proceeds from his works and shoes will go toward the Michael K. Shinoda Endowed Scholarship fund at the Art Center. An official signing will take place at the opening ceremony on July 11th, from 8-10pm.
More information on the art show can be found on the Japanese American National Museum website.
